The Star Wars empire has decided to sue the creator of a laser product that looks similar to a lightsaber.
This is as stupid as the Writer's Guild getting pissed about science-fiction-technology-made-real Kindle 2 text-to-voice (which is a computer software that has been around forever, thus the Writer's Guild is a little untimely).
We write about these things, then when they become somewhat of a reality, we piss and moan about, what else? $$$. I for one think it's okay that fiction influences reality the way that reality influences fiction, especially when it comes to the more optimistic end of science fiction.
I don't know. It's too bad Isaac Asimov is dead and can't counter-sue Lucas over the laser sword debacle.
