View Full Version : Simple question: Self-promotion. Allowed or not?

I only ask because of my signature (look below - if it is still there LOL).

Many sites do not like it, but yet if you are a published author you want your work recognised for a multitude of reasons, not least to get it known, but also to show what can be done to those stuck in the mire.

So, is that below allowed, or not?

Sure, it's fine to link to personal websites or blogs. Check out other members' siglines, everybody's doing it!

PS - your sigline link doesn't work, it's trying to go to http://www-storyofsmith.com/ instead of www.storyofsmith.com

Yeah, we all promote using our sig lines. Just be tasteful and not too large on your images. Remember a lot of members have older machines and we're all about fast loading.

If you want to promo something specific (such as a book release) we have an "Announcements, Events and Self-Promotion (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34)" forum just for that. :)
