Sleep... Those little slices of Death. How I loath
This is just a little update on my sobriety. Most of my friends already know on 6/29/2010 I celebrated 4 years 9 months of sobriety. I can't believe it's been that long.

So to celebrate, I'm reposting the link to my story, which was published in the book "Voices of Alcoholism" by LaChance Publishing March 2008.

Here's the linky. Thanks to everyone here for your friendship and support!

Thanks, thanks, and thanks! And thanks to you, Soapy!!!! You got in there before I could hit post;)

Long road, not a hard one (okay, that's a bit of a fib:D) but really, I can't go back to that. It's been too great these last 4+ years.

Nothing I can think of to say is really adequate, sm. My niece hasn't been able to last more than a few months for the last thirty years... may your four years+ grow to forty and beyond. Congratulations and hang in there.

Thanks OFG!!:Hug2: Praying for your niece. Let her read the story in the link above, maybe it will help.
Steve, that is so wonderful. I have a relative who fought the same battle, and I know it's a tough road. Congratulations on getting sober and staying that way. :Hug2:
Thanks DG! I hope your relative is doing well. It's a tough battle.:Hug2:

Congratulations.

I married into a family of alcoholics, so I know how few people ever find that kind of strength.

Here's to the next 4 years, and beyond.

You've survived a lot in these 4 years and come through with grace and humor, Steve. You should be very proud.
