Yes, twice. Horrible. I felt sick, poor guys. But they'd have felt sicker, eventually, if I'd married them!

I've turned down eight, just on AW. Quickie's been a sport about it, though.

I've been proposed to twice. The first engagement got broken 5 months before the wedding. The second one... we celebrate our 13th anniversary on Monday.

ME TOO! How funny is that? To this day I'm not totally sure the first was serious, though. The second guy... I'll admit, I occasionally wonder where he is and what he's doing. But it would have been the end of both of us, literally. The third time was my charm too.

Most I've done is turned down guys who asked me out. Never a proposal.

Without exception, the reaction from 'friends' has been, "But why? He's lovely!"

As if women aren't allowed to say no. Apparently I'm supposed to be grateful that someone wanted to go out with me.

I turned down a marriage proposal when I was still in high school.

And yes, my now husband did propose to me in a very official manner and was almost offended when I paused before answering to ask, "Is this for real?".
