Weird.

I feel the earth move under my feet
I feel the sky tumbling down
I feel my heart start to trembling
Whenever you're around

Too soon?

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge

Better?

Stop your whining. It's not like you don't have national health care.

Hey, who gets Canada if it breaks off during the next trembler and floats away?

jennontheisland

just heard it on the CBC. Was it fun??

I was really hoping for one when I was in CA last year, but saying that seems to piss people off.

I DID spill my coffee! Oh, the horror. Timmies on the floor!

All the gov't buildings in downtown Ottawa are still evacuated. Bewildered bureaucrats are milling about everywhere. We in the private sector are, apparently, dispensable.

sounds typical. rumor has it Toronto security is trying to figure out how the protesters did it...and the message they are trying to get across to the g20/g8 organizers.

I'm sure it's not the city's fault!

it's probably just the people that live there.

My cell phone started working again! I ask you: what good is a cell phone that stops working when you need it most?

I was in a horrific car accident in 2006...I mean, I was smucked! Went to use my ONSTAR...that incidentally did NOT instantly alert anybody of my accident. fuck those commercials. onstar sucks the big one. I go to use it to call 911...NOTHING. no service. I was paying for the top service...the everything package. I cancelled immediately.

I'm hoping my cell phone doesn't stop working when i need it. didn't need it for this earthquake...turns out the cops do not respond to 911 calls about spilled coffee.

Felt it in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario. I was in the middle of an exam when the desk began to shake (lightly). Each of us thought it was the other shaking the desk!

Apparently, the entire building, except for us, evacuated.

The minute my agent called with my book deal, the city teleported there. :D

We felt it 60 miles east of Buffalo. I didn't realize it was an earthquake until later. I literally checked to see if someone had driven into our garage door, then to see if any of the really big trees in the neighborhood were down.

It did knock down a plastic basket of beach stuff. Who's sweeping up that sand, the 911 operator? I'll call immediately.

Maryn, glad she didn't imagine it

Holy shit! That sucks about Onstar. I just wanted to call my husband to tell him I was okay because I wasn't at my desk where I have a land line (and MSN). He was trying to call me too, needless to say. It wasn't a real emergency, like yours was.

I missed two tremors in the last 27 years in this area, not realizing what it was until afterward. This time I knew it was a quake, and yelled to the kids. Beth said, "What are you talking about?"

I said, "Stand still a moment." She did and felt it too.

My couch was swaying back and forth and I watched the floor lamp wobble. It was so cool!!!!
