i have been working on revisions with an agent who i have not signed with. (not a revise and resub but an actual, "let's work on this." - he tends to work with new authors shaping their manuscripts for months, then signs them at the end, if and when he thinks the book is ready to sub.)
when i got the first call (and in subsequent emails), he asked that i keep him posted of any developments on my end.
i assumed this meant just let him know if one of the other agents with a full made an offer, but i'm wondering if he'd also like to know now that they've all passed.
i don't want to pester him with unnecessary emails, but i also don't want to be holding back if that's information he would like to know.
thoughts?
