Nope. I've tried it with salt, and although not bad, plain is better.

No, but I salt my lemons when I eat them. Does that count?

Yes.

On a side note, I asked my seven year old if she knew that a watermelon would grow in her tummy if she swallowed a watermelon seed. She said, 'No, it wouldn't, unless you swallowed soil and fertilizer, too.' LOL

A dark, evil place.
Watermelon is the most tasteless thing on earth. Except for quickWit, that is. Eggplant, on the other hand, is wonderfully delicious. And I do salt my eggplant.

you have to wait for watermelon season, when they're ripe.

I have NEVER heard of putting salt on watermelon, but if it made it taste of something and not like slightly more solid water it'd be worth a try. It tastes of so much nothing it makes me a bit queasy. :D

That sounds like all kinds of nasty. I'll give it a try. Had watermelon with wasabi. The sweet chill of melon followed by deep nerve-searing burn. Badass times ten.

I voted for eggplant.

Which is only slightly better than watermelon.

My least favorite fruit.... so if salt is some sort of containment for the demon fruit and it's spawn, I'm down with that.

:D
