I'm posting here to get some advice.
Over the weekend, I got four full requests. One of the agents read it in a day and, though she hasn't offered representation yet, I have a strong suspicion she will, due to something she posted on her blog today.
I also have a couple of partials out, too.
I just want to check on the protocol for this sort of thing. If she offers, I should ask for a week or so to let the other agents look at the work, right? And shouldn't I almost ask for a little longer than that, given that it's BEA this week? Do I ask her all the things I want to know right away (what made her like it so much, what revisions does she have in mind, does she have anyone in her mind that would love the book)? Or do I wait if anyone else wants to offer and then have conversations with them all, back-to-back? And then make a decision? (Gosh, that sounds presumptuous of me. But it's an honest question.)
