Looking to translate the question "Are you frightened?" into Russian.

Google Translation gives this Romanized answer:

Vy boitesʹ?

I don't know if Russian uses familiar forms, but in this case it would be an 18-year-old sister talking to her 15-year-old brother.

And just to make it more interesting, the conversation takes place circa 1915, just in case that would make a difference.

Ack! Don't listen to Wayne's translator.

Russian does use familiar forms. Google gave you the polite (I'm surprised an online translation tool actually got it right). I don't know enough about the differences between pre-Revolutionary Russian and today's, but today your character would be likely to say: "Boishsya?"

It's pronounced "Ba-EEsh-sa?" and it's the familiar with the pronoun ("ty") left off.
