Another rejection; what else is new?

This one came back very quickly. I emailed the query this morning and got this response:

Good luck with this Chris; I have to pass as I am currently rather swamped
with work.

That sounds okay to me and certainly better than "Hey, your writing sucks. You suck. Your whole family probably sucks. Never darken my doorstep again."

Off to the next one on my list, after I update my spreadsheet on who and when and what reaction, if any.

I've gotten to the point where I'm just excited if they actually use my name instead of Dear Author! That's pretty sad.

actually, that sounds somewhat positive... at least it's not a form letter and it's certainly not that negative...

Sorry about the rejection. Take heart in knowing it was for personal reasons and not manuscript reasons.
