So for the past few weeks, I've been agonizing, as a recent college grad, about whether or not I would have any grad school or job options. Because the biggest thing I feared was being forced to work for my dad's dental office the rest of my life. After rejection after rejection from grad school, I'd given up hope, until today, the last of the notices came in, from Stony Brook Southampton.

An acceptance into their MFA program!

Is it a definite I'll go? Well, no, but the fact that I now know I'll be doing something come September is such a weight off my shoulders.

Allow me to buy you a drink. Even if you decide against going, acceptance is an accomplishment worth celebrating, right?

Maryn, raising her glass to you

Great job! Wonderful! I remember those tense days trying to get in to grad school. It pays off, trust me.

Congratulations M. Blossom! Oh, how I miss grad school. *wipes tears* I made lifelong friends there; I never wanted to leave. I'd go again in a heartbeat and get ten more degrees if someone else were paying for it.
