I've been putting off getting a tattoo for years because... well, for one, I can't decide on what one tattoo to get. And for another, they're permanent. And with my ADD, I know within a week I'll be sick of it and want something else.

Well, guess what?

They have created changeable tattoos for me!

Is that real?

Just man up and get a tattoo. Do what I did and just ask someone to decide for you.

Ferret, you'd look totally hot with that "tribal" tramp stamp on your lower back. Why you'd ever want to change that is beyond me.

No freaking way. That seems totally unrealistic...

What happens if you fall and slice open the skin where you've ''tattooed'?

Anyhow, Shadow, you should TOTALLY get one. Get it somewhere where you can't see it so when your ADD kicks in, it won't be able to bother you, lol

Hmm. You mean if you tear the implanted canvas? I don't know.

Get the one with the shopping list, Ed.
Um, Haggis. You can make your own shopping list. Or whatever. It's programmable.

And you can download any graphic or make your own if you're so artistically inclined!

I am not artistically inclined. So would my deranged and anatomically-lopsided stick figures still work?

I doubt it's real. It makes absolutely no sense. How could this possibly work?

Oh, darn! Now that I look at the email, it did come on April 1st. :(

Gawd how I hate that day.

Guess I'm too much a sci-fi geek. Sounded totally plausible to me.

If you do decide to go under the needle for real, I suggest making it one that means something to you. Don't just walk in and pick a random one off the wall.

My husband had me draw him a dragon, and he had it put on his arm.
Muhahaha! He's branded for life.

On the flip side, avoid peer pressure, and ending up with a "but you need one" tattoo. This is even more difficult to avoid when the peer pressure comes from your mother (long story).

I'm getting inked on the 18th. I am having a half sleeve/shoulder tattoo designed by a Japanese artist here. It's all Japanese designs and such - it signifies, for me, that I finally made it to Japan - one of the places I've always wanted to live. Since I won't be here too long I want something permanent that I got from here. Plus. I'm married and self employed. I don't have to fricken impress anyone. :)

I'm having one implanted in my face! I want to look like Lady Ba Ba. And tomorrow i can look like Miley Serious!

:poke:

Get a real one. It only stings for a few days. When the scab comes off, ye be ieet.

I seriously don't think they'll update the softwear in 5 years after this doesn't take off and you'll be stuck with an implant that may become harmful. You might as well put the money in the bank. A real tattoo is much cheaper and you can always put the tat on your back and forget about it until someone says something about it. I have 3 of them and hardly ever give them a thought until one of my kids sees me naked. It's as permanent as a mole. It'll be there until you remove it or die with it.
