For those who might know:

If a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run in lower Manhattan and the driver was established to reside in Brooklyn, would the investigating detectives from the Manhattan precinct go to Brooklyn to arrest the guy, or would they send unis from the local precinct to take care of it?

Who arrests when and how is influenced by many factors other than orginating precint and residential precint of the suspect.

Is the suspect a nice sweet guy who's actually going to turn himself in via his lawyer? Is he a flight risk? Might he need to be grabbed at work? Is there a reason for the dicks to personally arrest him (maybe they want to Mirandize and ask a couple more questions?) or might they instead just have dispatch send a couple of Brooklyn uniforms over to effect the arrest?

In short, the Manhattan guys could go arrest in Brooklyn but they don't have to.
