Saw it last Sunday in 3D. We double-dated, and all 4 of us loved it and laughed a ton. My SO hopes it'll come to the cheap theater so we can see it again and definitely wants to buy it when it releases.
haha cs that's lovely.. I took the kids including the 17yr old (he thought it might b better than eating sushi alone ) They loved it. It was a wonderful storyline with excellent visual effects, enjoyed by all
I saw it three times already. Absolutely LOVED it!!! It's become my new all-time favorite. Definitely the best dragon movie we've had in a long while. Toothless is certainly the most charming character. Loved every moment between him and Hiccup, especially where their friendship really begins to blossom.
The last time, I saw it 3D. Not quite as thrilling as I was expecting, but very cool. The dragons and the flying scenes were breathtaking in 3D.
I'll probably see it one more time before it goes to DVD.
Saw it recently. Great movie, with the same recurring theme of standing up for yourself and doing what you think is right, as well as a touch of how prejudice is wrong thrown in.
Hubby and the kids (20 & 18) are off to see it now while I put the roast in the bbq. I'll likely see it in DVD. Daughter saw it while at college & loved it, worth dragging family members to it a second time.
I echo the sentiments of enjoyment. I saw it in 3-D which really is no different than 2-D for me but yeah I really enjoyed it and laughed a lot. My parents enjoyed it, too.
My younger son saw it with his mom and grandma. He came home and was describing it, "And one guy had his leg burned off by a dragon and another guy had his arm burned off."
I was surprised the look of Toothless worked so well.
In the ads he just looked like an axolotl, which is really disappointing from a 'dragon' point of view. I was pretty annoyed because I figured they did it just so they could stop the pretenders in the 'cuddly toy' market. (Basically they need something unique - Happy Feet had the problem that plenty of people bought stuffed toy penguins after the film ... but almost none of them were official 'Happy Feet' stuffed penguins. Since they all look 99.9% identical it was hard to stop the pretenders)
In the film he also looked exactly like an axolotl- but it really worked. I was surprised.
Another really nice thing - the 'In the memory of Blake Snyder' at the end.
I saw Dragons on the same day that I saw Kick Ass. Both great movies, but Dragons tugged at my heart a bit more. I can't explain why it was so wonderful, but I absolutely love it. I plan on seeing it again today once I get out of work. <3
