What's so great about Friday? Is it the reincarnation of April Fools or something?

It's still Thursday here, but tomorrow I'm gonna go to Home Depot and buy a bunch of lumber.

(Didn't get to church for it, though, 'cause I had to work. )

But I'll be in church at ten this morning, that's for sure.

Oh boy, two more sleeps until the Easter Bunny comes!

I had a dream that I was cheating on Lent last night. I was sorting through a big basket of fried catfish, and...and...*drools* THERE WAS A CHICKEN STRIP IN THERE! The really good kind with the crispy batter (not breading) like on the peg legs from Long John Silver's. It was golden, and chrispy, and juicy, and oh, my, forgive me Lord!

But then Katherine Heigl walked in and I forgot all about the chicken.

I have not cheated on Lent! Meh, I just gave up alcohol. My Greek peeps who welcome me into their church are hardcore, man. Maybe one day I'll do the fully vegan, etc. necessary for that. Their bean-based soups are lovely, I must say

You know some poor bastard is still doing time in purgatory for eating a baloney sandwich... Not sure chicken counts.

Boy do I remember all those Fridays with fish sticks and macaroni and cheese... I think at one time I held the local parish record for number of stations of the cross I had to do after going to confessional. More than likely explains why I have bad knees today...
