The local PBS station in my area has a weekly show about people and places of interest in Tennessee.
This week's episode included a segment about a guy name Ron Lowery who is a pilot with an open airplane who takes photographs from the air.
One of his books is Chasing Lewis & Clark Across America (Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0974920711/?tag=absolutewritedm-20). I thought that was a clever idea, interesting, and the photographs I've seen are great. I notice it's gotten ten five-star reviews on Amazons (and those are probably real customer reviews).
