How does the honey do it?

No matter how careful I am when I'm handling it, somehow it always finds a way to get on my skin.
Usually I think it's me just missing a strand of honey or something, but today a picked up a honey bottle that was still sealed and it was sticky on the outside. Like it perspired through the bottle or something.

This is made by taking fresh blood and sticking it in the fridge to gently congeal
