In just over a week it is one of my favourite days on AW: April 1st. For completely natural and innocent reasons, I'm trying to guess what the Mod Hive Mind has come up with to do for the day.

What I have so far:

All becoming "invisible" and pretending not to be around.

... and that's it! There's plenty of stuff they've done before that they could do again, but I'm guessing that they won't go down that route. (Or will they?)

Any ideas?

I'm not sure it's wise to put ideas in their evil heads...

I'm still in counselling after last year's TwiShite 'unpleasantness'.

*shudder*

Ooh, I know: a fake book put on the "Read Books by AWers!" slot at the top of the page. Something outrageous and scandalous.

Julia's Saturday Night Haggis Live is a regular event. It even has its own merchandise.

Haggis' management insist the photographers from Hello! shoot him from all angles, and then he picks the best shots for his pay-per-view web site.

This led to one hilarious terrible misunderstanding at the Sussex Farmer's Bring-Yer-Gun Night.

I predict they'll do nothing, you know, just to really mess with our heads.

I'm pretty sure my head's a mess already....

So where's the sport in messing with it?

:D

as for April 1rst... um.... I dunno. I'd forgotten all of last year's unpleasantness, only to have it dredged up again. My therapist had said I was doing so well, too.

Thanks, really.

I like April Fool's Day around here. It's fun. Though I do remember a few years back, some people got very upset because mods were posing as newbies asking questions and devolving into weird troll-like nonsense. Some members were upset because they were seriously trying to help, offer advice, warn against bannination, etc., and felt like they'd been had. Which they had been (I was one of them, but I thought it was funny when the truth came out.) Though I believe apologies were forthcoming.

Last year I was turned into a shmoo. Shmoo suits itch.

I loved the one in the Pagan forum. I think I must have figured it out by then cos I was trying to persuade her that if she counted back from a million, she'd regress to her former life, and that I was in fact Alexander the Great's chief eunuch in a previous life.

My favorite was when they switched everyone's avatars.

You can't go warning folks off. The sheer confusion is half the fun.

I'll have to think how to top off last year...
