As I sit here watching the snow fly outside my window, flakes swirled by the 30mph wind with gusts to 45, waiting to see if this accumulation will put us over the record for the season set back in the '40s, I find it difficult to believe it's the first day of spring. We just put a BIG pot of chili on to simmer and there's a fire in the fireplace.

Yay, Spring.

And Happy Anniversary, Carole!

If it helps, OFG, we're finally getting the chance this weekend to celebrate Christmas with our friends today.

Completely sideways, man
OFG, I guess it wouldn't be a good thing for me to mention that not only is it sunny here today, it's supposed to reach 68 degrees.

And thanks on the Anniversary wishes. :) Mr. Vagabond is, as always, in another state today. We have only celebrated one anniversary together, and that's because I drove to meet him at a seedy motel somewhere in Kentucky. But God love him, he texted me at 6:00 a.m. this morning just so he could be the first one to say Happy Anniversary. Yes, we are five year olds.

Anyway, HAPPY SPRING, everyone! And the chili still sounds good. :)

Alright!

Tonight, I'll perform my yearly Vernal ritual and dance naked around the bonfire. And this year I'll be howling at a crescent moon which is particularly auspicious.

I was going to do that but seeing as it's cold and raining outside I've decided to just stay in and watch tele instead ;)

Hey! Two moons for the price of one! Where do we get tickets? :D

The Vernal rituals are free for all to participate in.

Hey, I thought about doing it. And you know what they say, it's the thought that counts
Well, there's always the autumnal equinox, but by then it might be too late. And if so, usually a sacrifice is called for to counteract the bad karma inflicted by not performing the ritual earlier in the year.

But hey, it's your call if you want to risk angering the Goddess.

Hmm, I might have to reconsider this naked fire dancing then. I just didn't want to make the neighbours jealous ;) :D

No worries, Carole. It was 71 here yesterday... and it's supposed to be 70 again on Tuesday. As I've said before and given birth to a thread for: Gotta love this Oklahoma weather!

And the chili was AWESOME!

Is it chocolate cake?
