From copy editor to research assistant to script writer

Shew! *takes a deep breath*

So some of you know I've been working with a university professor who I had last semester for one of my classes and he had a series of interviews with me and not only is helping me with my academic career but last month he told me officially, he wanted to "hire me" to help him with getting his book published. I've been doing some critiquing and editing for him just as a favor.

So it's official, I am going to be working with him on the entire process from start to finish, I also get to help by being a research assistant in which I'll conduct interviews for him and now he's just emailed me yesterday to indicate that I'm also to help him write a script for a short video project.

Wow. I'm all a flustered.

Yes, it so is. Not only to get my feet wet but I get paid, by the hour and not bad rates. So, I'm not complaining. It's only part time work and dependent upon him getting stuff to me but it's a start.
