On a fig tree, presumably
I must be. This morning I had a dream in which I wanted two things changed around. I yelled "Switch! Switch! Plot point!"

Between a rock and a hard place.
I only check in like once a month or something. I'm never in the house of love and have NOTHING to do with the weekend progress report. I mean, come on a Board for Writers... yikes

I'd rather be talking to you (all) than talking to myself.

(I'm always in stealth mode, he, he. ...Hey, how'd you know I was here? If you use () no one can see or hear you, right? You just must have super keen senses. Don't tell anybody!)

I've never been here before at all. Who are you people, and what do you want?

Your blood and your undying vow of loyalty.

What? Is that asking too much? Sheesh.

We simply want to know how many other writers spend way to much time hanging out at AW.
There is that better?

You all are losers for spending so much time here. I mean, 3000+ posts? Come on, get a life!

Oh, wait. What's that you say? oh. er-um-oops?

Whew. I'm relieved!

Okay, so what counts as "too much time"?

Let's see, too much time wouldn't actually be measured in minutes or hours.

You know you might be an AW addict if:

You postpone actual work to hang out here...
You have withdrawls after 12 hours of no AW...
A friend tells you something funny, and you say, "LOL" instead of laughing...
You rationalize that posting here IS getting your writing done...
You try to insert smileys when talking...
You scream by using capitol letters and exclamation marks...
You know longer associate the word 'thread' with sewing...

and so on and so forth.

Feel free to add to the list.

If four or more of the above describes you...you may be an AW addict.

The first step is acceptance, the next step is posting here.

Hi. My name is storygirl, and I'm an AW addict. *sniff, whimper* My last post was one second ago.

If you have AW set to desk top so you don't have to fool around logging in...
If your best friends live in cyber space but you've never actually met them...
If you are really concerned about a friend you haven't heard from in a while, but you're not sure what state they live in...

You just might be addicted to AW.

LOL! That's the spirit Unique. Thanks for adding to the list. Here's another one...

...If you're loved ones have to compete with AW for your time and attention (and they usually lose)

you might be an AW addict.

I should be getting actual work done right now, but I'm here, posting my little heart out. Oh well, I guess I can just consider this a creative writing exercise.

Oops, that might fall under the:
If you rationalize that posting here IS getting your writing done...you might be an AW addict.

That's ok, I'm in the acceptance stage. Hey, I've got coffee, chocolate, and AW...who could ask for more?

I've been on this board over 2 hours and I need to go to bed! I know I'll dream of posting various things to various threads. I've had that dream like five times now. Yargh!
Goodnight now....
