When I go to the view forum leaders (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showgroups.php) page (y'know, to see how many mods are on-line) and I scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page, there's this group of users called VPXIII.

huh?

It's a secret. They could tell us but then they would have break our fingers, cut out our tongues and use our eyes when playing marbles.

There's a really nifty writing workshop called Viable Paradise; you can read about it here (http://www.sff.net/Paradise/).

Mac went to Viable Paradise four years ago (VP X); and since then has been Staff. Last year was VP XIII.

It's a board for the alums from the workshop.

Oh cool. Martha's Vineyard no less. One of these days I'll get out to the east coast, one of these days. . .

Thanks, Medi. :)

ETA: oh yeah, originally I was thinking it's a supermax time-out or something, since it's right below the time-out group.

Martha's Vineyard isn't that far from Salem. Just a hint to the wise.

I'll probably soon be joining that group . . .

I know! Or Worcester Mass, whose art museum (plus the Higgins Armory) are really important to me.

I gotta say, from the perspective of someone who has worked as an editor, does NOT write fiction, but is a writing teacher--

The VP workshop, even to a cynical sod like me, with mbllty years of teaching and exposure as staff to lots of writing workshops--

totally rocks.

And you'd probably be lucky for that. I'd think any type of crafty illusion to Mac being a witch would then result in banantion, and possibly a complete collapse of your internet connection.

Meh. Skip most of the Witch parts of Salem.

Go to the Cemetary, for sure.

And go to the "House of Seven Gables," which is really really fabulous.

Then go on to Worcester. Especially the art museum.

Too bad I can't go out there now. That Italian Etchings exhibition sounds amazing. Leonardo's Battle of Anghiari is currently my desktop wallpaper.
