Cathy inherited an American-made Formica dinette table made by the defunct Douglas Furniture Manufacturing Company of Chicago from her grandmother, but no chairs.
We've finally bought a pair of brand new American-made Vitro Seating dinette chairs to go with the table. We had borrowed a couple of wood chairs from the dining room set, but we know the dinette table wasn't happy with that arrangement.
We don't need to remember when kitchen furniture was coolness personified. We get to see it and sit in it every day.
