Another Trip to the Castle as Playwright...

I found out this past Friday that I will be heading back to the castle for another 24-hour play-creation festival! This is the one I took part in last March...where I was locked inside a castle at 10pm on the Thursday and had to write a play in 8-hours. At 6am Friday morning I was released and the actors and directors swarmed the castle. At 6pm Friday night, the 10 plays were each performed 6 times in front of a sold out audience. It was an absolute blast! And I get to do it again this coming March 12th!

Found out yesterday that the event is now SOLD OUT!

I get to be locked into the castle Thursday night! Let's hope I can come up with a play in 8 hours!

Friday night is the gala performance! Can't wait!

Guess what!? I will be taking on the role as CASTL PLAYWRIGHT for the third time this March. I will be one of 6 playwrights spending the night at Trafalgar Castle and writing a play that will be produced the next night. This year, it is a juried event and the favourite of all six plays will be workshopped into a full length play!

I love this gig...can't wait to do it for the 3rd time!

Thanks, both! I really can't wait. It's so much fun being given the room the play is to be performed in and actor pictures and told to GO WRITE IT. I get 8 hours to write the play...then I leave the castle and the director and actors come in to rehearse for 8 hours. Then the gala event is the next night. Completely awesome experience. I'd do it every weekend if I could. (-:
