Kimberley Cottage Press announces on their main page that they were "recently acquired by Strategic Book Publishing (http://www.strategicbookpublishing.com/Australia.html)."

What that means in practical terms is, whatever they were before, they're now a vanity press owned an adjudged scammer who is currently being sued by the State of Florida (http://accrispin.blogspot.com/2009/09/victoria-strauss-florida-attorney.html) for financial crimes.

Well--birds of a feather. I know, I know that's such a cliche. Lots of truth there, though.

For Immediate Release:

Kimberly Cottage Press, Australia (KCP) merges operations with The Global Book Agency, United States (TGBA) to form multi-national book publishing and distribution company.

KCP is best known for it's Australian romance books which have been published in China, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany. TGBA has published over 400 books in the United States and UK. The combination of the two creates a mult-threaded, multinational book publishing entity. KCP Management will continue in an advisory role, and operations and acquisitions will be transferred to TGBA.

Along with the merger, KCP-TGBA will be expanding their acquisitions team and publishing more books. KCP's initial two books, "Dare to Live the Dream" and "Tears Over the Kimberleys" sold greater than 200,000 and 400,000 copies respectively mainly in China. Two more romance novels are scheduled for release in 2009, one from Diane Griffith, and one from Nancy Livingston.
