For anyone interested, there's an article on "How to Get Your Play Read" in the March, 2010 issue of The Writer magazine (by Gwen Orel, who is a playwright and who has worked in theater(re) management in both the US and UK). There's not a lot new in the article, but there might be something in it that could help someone get their play read.

As I'm sure most budding playwrights know, there are few articles about plays in the major writing magazines, so I thought I would post a note about this one.

Thanks!

I was already planning to go to the bookstore and check out the magazines today. I will pick up a copy of The Writer.

And you are right. The writing magazines do not have much about writing for the theater.

(EDIT LATER TO ADD: Drat, they still had the February issue. :( But I did pick up American Theatre and Creative Screenwriting while I was there.)
