Ha! 80 masculine points, 54.167 feminine points and 63.3333 androgynous points.

So since when are assertiveness, the ability to stand up for one's beliefs and leadership skills 'masculine' qualities? Inquiring minds want to know.

I wondered that too. Men aren't supposed to be caring and gentle? Who knew? It's why I don't place much faith in these things. :)

Take it with a grain of salt. The BSRI is almost 40 years old ;)

There's a lot of psych that smacks of pseudoscience. I just thought it would be fun for a laugh.

No, I'm not offended. I'm just curious and the age of the test clears a lot of that up for me. When a psych test is as old/older than I am, it hasn't taken into consideration the strides made in gender roles assignment since then. My mother's generation would have scored high on the feminine part; my generation, not so much. It'll be interesting to see how the generation of my daughters scores--mostly because IMO, they've gone a little backwards--a natural reaction of the pendulum swings of gender relations.

But, thinking of it that way, it really hits home how far women have come to break out of their 'natural place' in the world. Pretty cool stuff all the way around.

So true. And also true about the slight backlash. I'm certainly of a mind that the less rigid the gender roles become, the better off we all are. I'd love to see more male nurses, teachers, and stay-home parents (as well as other occupations traditionally considered more feminine). Definitely, it would be good to see more flexibility in the workplace for both genders of parents and more flexibility in court custody rulings.

Hmmm. Wonder how it would differ if a friend/spouse took the quiz for us--are we really as we think we are?

Hmm, will have to try that. Thanks, now I have a new way to tormet the hubby. As if being hormonal and plagued by terminal cabin fever weren't enough inspiration :)

Seriously, might be interesting! It's all well and good to self-evaluate, but it makes ya wonder...

In the Castle, of course.
I am using these tests to procrastinate from going out in the cold and snow to get feed at the feed mill. When my h comes home and bitches at me, I am going to blame you, Ad_lucem. ;)

You scored 80 out of 100 masculine points, 77.5 out of 100 feminine points, and 68.333 out of 100 androgynous (neutral) points.

Belch.

I guess the age of the test speaks volumes.
