I think I'm gonna give them a try. I wonder what would happen when it comes to payment since they're in the UK. Would they send American money?

Thx much, Reece. They usually pay in UK money, which is expensive to convert at US banks. I know I tried, Kathy.

Yikes! Well, I sent them some verses anyway.

Hi Y'all,

I sent two batches and got a quick response for each saying the same thing - unfortunately, they are unsuitable for our ranges at the moment.

Oh well.

Interesting. I emailed 10 verses on January 25th and haven't gotten a rejection so far. Maybe they're considering them.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, Reece.

Hmmm....I emailed a couple of subs last week and didn't receive a reply either. Is this the email address you guys used? https://mail.google.com/mail/images/cleardot.gifsusie.linley@wishingwell.co.uk

The reason I ask is b/c sometimes I find that my subs go into an editor's spam - it's happened to me more than once with Oatmeal (which is strange considering I've been subbing to them for awhile now). If only editors would just reply quickly with "sub received" or something of that nature - just to let us know.

Yes, that was the email address.

Thanks for confirming that Kath.

You're welcome.

Yes, I'm hoping this company received my email okay, and that my sub didn't go into their junk mail.

I just got out my Wishing Well folder, and see I have a note from 9-07 which reads, "According to Michelle (MBdownUnder) they pay 2-3 pounds per line - you must pay to have converted to dollars."

I see I last sent a submission in 7-06, which I remember was a specific call for Christmas verses. I received no response; but I notice that I eventually sold 2 of the verses to Gallant.

That's all I know!

Update:

It took about a month but they did reply. I got rejects.

Sorry they got rejected, guys. That bites. Could someone give me an example of WW's humor. Sure would appreciate it. Thx much.
