Coven? Conclave? Murder? (murder is the word for a group of crows, maybe that could translate to vampires?)

I really like "conclave." We used it a lot in Vampire: The Masquerade live action roleplay.

So I could use it like this?

"What is it?" Garrett asked.
"Phone call."
"Can't it wait?"
"No its the Conclave."
"Fuck."

Would that work like that?

Yep, that would absolutely work.

Canotila is partly right: A "murder" of crows is relatively well-known in literature to designate a gathering of them (see link below); however, the term really couldn't be applied to vampires without even more confusion than it often generates.

Conclave sounds good.

Specific to bats, a group is called a "colony" or a "cloud." Those terms may help you get closer to what you want.

House of Representatives? Or maybe just, Congress. A congress of vampires.
