I'm seeking a beta reader for "Farewell to Treaties," a military-SF novel ov 135K words.
The basic plot:
Jon Walker is an Aggressor on the toxic waste planet of Kronskye to defend it from raiders seeking riches and WMDs. A shortage of Aggressors and politics in 2557 leads Alliance President Jameson to select the paramilitary Rodinan Special Enforcement Service to fill the recruiting gap as an independent force. The Rodinans covertly attack Aggressor patrols to gain combat experience. Jameson dismisses reports of the attacks and orders no action be taken.
After his mentor is killed and his Bond-mate is wounded by booby-traps, Jon is recruited for a covert recon unit tasked to prove the Rodinans are behind the attacks. After gathering proof, the team engages the Rodinans in open battle. Fearful of the repercussions, Jameson orders a cover up.
Forced into silence and angered by the cover up, Jon joins a group intent on legally exposing the cover up and bringing down President Jameson.
