View Full Version : Name your favorite Disney villain.

Chernabog fan right here.
One of, if not the most under-rated Disney villain ever.
His only appearance in Fantasia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8Ca_edg6RE), and a non-canon appearance in Kingdom Hearts, is probably the main reason for that.
But for me, Chernabog just has a quiet menace to him that no other villian can match.

Tough choice. I'm a huge Disneygeek. My favorite is probably Ursula. She's bawdy and manipulative and saucy. And she has the best song.

But the BEST Disney villain is definitely Queen Grimhilde from Snow White. Golly, she asks the woodsman to cut out Snow White's heart and bring it back to her in a box all because Snow White is prettier than she is? Geez, harsh. She's got some real evil there. Maleficent is also a close contender for this title. But she's a little less brutal than the Evil Queen.

...I should stop now, before the full Disneygeek is realized.

Snow White. That goody two-shoes act doesn't fool me for a minute.

Also, I read the Neil Gaiman story. I know the truth.

"Name your favorite Disney villain."

Is redundant, Disney is the villian...

Oh wait, I'll have to revise my answer. Dr. Drakken is/was my favorite, and for all those corporate spys reading this: I'm still pissed. Bring Kim Possible back - the single half-decent thing the big D has done in decades, and while you're at it, I want my Box Set. Until one of those two happens, you know where you can shove your mouse.

Another vote for Ursula.

Though I also agree that Disney himself wasn't a gem either. What he did to the reputation of those poor lemmings is just sinful.

Maleficent is bad ass - I think so even more after playing the first two Kingdom Hearts games <3. Poor Riku!

I'm going to go with a cop-out and say ALL of them.

Really, I mean it. Any character that gives the other characters of a Disney movie a rough way to go is good in my book.

FYI: I killed Bambi's mother and, let me tell you, it was worth it. Best venison you ever tasted.

... don't really have one. All villains are loathsome to me, including the present studio heads at Disney who are cranking out lame movies, compared to years past.

:D

I suppose sending her to the taxidermist and then keeping her as part of the room decor would be wrong, too? Ah, you're no fun!

(j/k of course... I don't hunt. My husband's uncle is a taxidermist, though. So, I'm sure, if we did decide to off Bambi's maternal unit, we could get her stuffed for cheap.)

Drat. Now I want to play Kingdom Hearts.

Keep in mind that these heads are now the heads of Pixar...and they certainly aren't turning out lame movies. :P I also thought Princess and the Frog was quite good, and Rapunzel looks astounding.

Ahem, back on topic.

Though generally I find the Disney sequels lame, I liked the Aladdin sequels in all their awesomely-badness. I particularly like this villain's song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPhenf_Zm5U Also, if I recall correctly, the secondary villain in Return of Jafar was named Abys Mal or something of that variation.

I need to watch those again...

Mad Madame Mim!!!

Another vote for Maleficent. Come on, both ladies can turn into dragons! How cool is that?

Coming in at a close third is Shere Khan.

Xanatos was the second.
Xanatos was a great character.
Gargoyles was an uber series, I'm glad they continued it in comic format, like Buffy.
Have you read the meta-fanfiction that was made for it? The thing is beyond epic.
