I've only seen one avatar post and it didn't really help.

I tried to upload my own avatar using the http://yadiyadiyadi and the upload button. Neither work. Sometimes it will tell me the size is too big and I need to manually do it - I do it manually and it STILL doesn't work. Sometimes it tells me it just can't.

That link doesn't work for me, so I'm not sure what you're doing, but try this (if you haven't already):

Select User CP at the top left of your screen (below the ads).

Scroll down to Settings & Options in the left column and select Edit Avatar

Scroll down past Pre-defined Generic Avatars and you should see Custom Avatar options, where you can either paste in the URL of an existing web image file (a .jpg or .gif), or use the Browse button to select an image file on your computer.

Select the Save Changes button.

It gives me this

The Dimension limits for this filetype are 80 x 80. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 160 x 120.

And when I do it manually it sends me the same thing.

Can you post the URL link to the image file you're trying to upload? (Assuming it's online, and not on your computer. If it's on your computer, how about emailing it to me?)

You need at least 50 posts to upload a custom avatar.

Heh, a little bell was slowly beginning to tinkle at the back of the old brain closet... Yah, 50+ posts needed before you can upload a custom avatar. Or...

You can immediately have a custom avatar, and you get more PM storage.

1. You need 50 posts

2. Your image is too large both spatially (number of pixel) and in terms of file size.

3. Resize the file
