Thought I'd share the cartoon I did for the latest post at the insideadog residency. The topic was 'Why Do We Write Fiction'

That explains why my dishes are languishing away unwashed. I likes it!

If I didn't wash dishes, no-one else would do it. :D

Saying that, the bath plug is blocked. Doing a procrastination job on that one.

Good cartoon. Sort of reminds me of something I read somewhere. "Dust is an extra layer of protection for fine furniture."

How can you write something profound when faced with a cartoon and you can’t draw? And how can you sensibly follow dishes and dust?

I give up. I do it for the money, too.

I already cleared the bathtub drain and fixed both toilets.

So I pretty much have to write fiction. (That and I need money - and the piece I'm working on is already contracted.)

It's sensible to have a trade you can practice to pay the bills until you make it big. But I chose computer programming instead of plumbing.

Have you checked how much plumbers earn these days? If you're a plumber, you already are big.

That's an awesome cartoon. I like your drawing style.

And my fiction is all thinly-veiled autobiography, anyway.

I personally do it to kill time and keep me busy - to keep me from staying on the internet too much. It's not having much success with the latter but I can try my darnedest, can I not?
