Header on My Title Page

Insert/Header/Edit header/Check the different first page box and leave the first page header blank.

Which version of Word are you using? I can tell you know to do it in Word 2003; some features of Word 2007 are different, so it would be better for someone else to show you if you're using that.

Alley, good point. My instructions were for Word 2007.

You want to go to either File > Page Setup, or View > Header and Footer and then find Page Setup on the Header menu bar. When you get to Page Setup go to Layout. You will see a box for "Different first page". Check that and then you can either not put a header on the first page, or else delete the one already there.
