A friend of mine's got one of them, but it's not a wand, it's a wee fob thingie on his keyring. He uses it to turn the telly off in pubs when the football's on, usually when it looks like someone's about to score a goal. One day someone will see him do it and he'll be tortured and killed, but for the moment it amuses him no end. It's all good fun till someone loses an eye...

But £50?! (Roughly $US75.) You'd have to really, really, really want it.

Maybe it's because I'm familiar with the technology inside it (MEMS accelerometer, same stuff as in wii controllers and most laptop computers and cell phones) and basically know how it works, but I'm not amazed by it one bit. Okay, I do wish I had made it.
