Second book completed!

I finished writing the second novel in my series a couple of weeks ago. It stands complete at about 146,000 words. Ow, that's a lot. It's about 20,000 words longer than the first, but I had a lot of fun writing it...

Now all I need to do is fully plot and flesh out the third and final book...

This is the longest book I've ever written. But having said that, I used to only be able to write about 10k words before giving up. This one just sort of flowed. But there again, the publishers wouldn't touch it, so maybe it's just 146,000 words of dross...

It's something I'm doing for myself, now. I chased commercial publication, but was eventually told by an editor (one with strong ties to many major publishing houses), that it probably wasn't something that they would be interested in. My writing ability aside

Once I finish this, I'm going to move onto writing for commercial publication instead. I've sold around 85 copies of the first book so far. Not bad, but not great. Not to worry
