A fun and interesting thing happened on my way to google...

I went to google a few minutes ago to google something, and when I went to type it in, I completely and totally forgot what the hell I was searching for. So i sat there and stared at my screen for a minute trying to remember and, for the life of me, couldn't.

While I was playing around trying to remember, I clicked on the "I'm feeling lucky" button without having entered anything into the search bar. And, to my complete and utter surprise, this is what I say:

Was it counting down live? Once per second?

If so, a bit of quick maths indicates that it would reach zero at about 4am (my local time), on the 2nd January next year.

3. But yes, I still stuffed it up - according to Excel :

ie: 4pm on New Year's Day (my local time)

Thats because at the second he clicked on it, it was 1772224 seconds until new years. Go to google yourself and hit Im feeling lucky.

Its a realtime counter, decrementing by one second.
