I've used Final Draft 8 extensively since November 14 - two complete 110 page scripts and about halfway through another.

Been writing for a living over 30 years now, tend not to make too many typos, but was getting getting a lot when using Final Draft. Words that I dang well know how to spell were changed into other words.

Simple... if you type fast, turn off autospell. It will muck you up good because when you manually spellcheck, all those wrong words (but spelled correctly) won't show up. We caught them because we read the scripts out loud in proofing.

Good tip, although basic. I suppose you said that in the title. :)

I'm going to take the script writing dive this winter. There are some ideas too concise to be novels. I'll be taking a look at some of those links below your signature as well.
