This song reminds me of my first love. Its corny but so am I so ya know... This was a girl who I dated in High School but we broke up and then got back togethor when we were both out of high school.... we went fishing for our first date. Best date I've ever had... she started singing this song at one point when we had given up fishing and were laying on the lake by the fire, watching the stars and talking. Yeah I'm romantic....bite me. :tongue

This song is one I'm embarassed to admit...not so much the movie....but the song speaks to me as a metaphor for not knowing who you are and going out in to the real world and trying to decide which is the right path for you.

In 22 years of marriage, I've never strayed, which I owe in part to my conversion to Talk Radio. I may never need to change the transmission on a '68 Mustang, but I definitely don't need the vivid memories of past loves that so many songs conjure up.

My Favorite...

There is no way I can hear this song and not feel good..on really bad days, I'll listen to it over and over until I feel better. Besides, this guy is just a great singer-songwriter especially considering he's really young...

Here I was thinking "they just don't write any goods songs any more"! I fell in love with it the first time I heard it.

I have a song like that, too. The last few months haven't been easy for me, but I always find the strength and inspiration I need in this sweet little ditty.

I think I've told this story before. I was living in utter poverty with my mother when this song came out. Because of her job, she would be gone for days at a time, and I was left out in the middle of nowhere, having to answer the door when the landlord came pounding on it.

This cheesy song always brings a big smile to my face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO8FZJ_UIn4 It was on the charts when I was going out with Susie, and she used to sing it to me. She was on the rebound from someone she eventually went back to and, I heard, married. She taught me that you can't base a relationship entirely on (lots and lots of) sex, a lesson I thoroughly enjoyed learning.

I didn't know I was a Phil Collins fan (lol) until I saw the video I posted.

Against All Odds is the song I've known best by him and have always really liked.

I Can't Dance is hysterical.
