Hi there, I'd be really grateful for a bit of Classical Latin checking!

So my character is called the Swallow. Also known as Lady (or Mistress)Swallow, Queen of Doors.

I make the first part of the Latin translation Domina Hirundo (Hirundo being feminine and nominative), Regina Ianuarum (Regina being feminine and nominative, Ianuarum feminine, plural, and genitive).

Right or wrong?

On a totally obtuse way of thinking...I wonder if Romans would be offended...being the literalistic and concretely thinking persons that they were

You are definitely correct.

The Romans weren't necessarily as literalistic or concrete in their thinking as some have suggested.

A Roman metaphor for wasting time was laterem lavare meaning, to wash bricks. With sayings like that, I think we can say that they could as abstract and creative as anyone else.
