So, I start reading The Name of the Rose today, and was surprised to find out there's a video game based on it and that the video game is actually a cult favorite on Spain and whose quality is on par to any LucasArt games from the same time

The game, as in the book, is about two monks trying to figure out the murder surrounding an abbey on the late Middle Ages, you can download it here and includes an English translation, don't worry, is work of checking out:

After playing it for a couple of days, I can say two things:

1) You don't more than 8 bits to do a decent murder mystery

2) I HATE THE ABBOT, whom I suspect is cousin of the old man from Zelda.


By the way, after you download the game, you must right-click the screen to change the language to English.
