Having just moved to the US I was wondering about conferences that would be usefully for an alt. sexualities erotic romance writer of ebooks? I am in Indiana and don't have a huge budget to work with

I would love a chance to actually talk to other writers or erotic romance--something I have never, ever done!

There's actually an erotic romance writers guild forming right now. It'll be non profit, similar to RWA, except just for erotic romance. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EroticRomanceWritersGuild/

I am on that egroup but have yet to see much of interest. Seems very ficused on bylaws at the moment rather that goals of what they will actually do?

They might know of some conferences coming up. I remember hearing about one being planned for somewhere in the southeast in 2006, but can't remember the name. I'll try to look around.
