I just sent a reppie that was slightly off color to who I thought was SP, but then the little reppie box was paused over someone else when I hit the send button. So, if you're out there and you just received something that might have sounded a little...well very inappropriate from me, please disregard.

I feel like such a douchebag. Sorry.

The only exceptions are the ones I get to send to ScarletPeaches.

This reminds me of the very early email experience of a guy I used to know online. He was in his mid 30s and finally facing the fact that he was gay. I encouraged him to seek guys he actually liked, people whose company he'd enjoy regardless of his or their sexual orientation. Maybe something would happen, maybe not. He was stuck at home 24/7 caring for his mother, who had Alzheimer's. Long story slightly shorter, he meets a Good Guy online who's been keeping his own gayness to himself, and they agree to exchange photos. Explicit photos.

Now, Prodigy email addresses could not be personalized. Yahoo and Hotmail did not yet exist. All the Prodigy email addresses were seven-character strings of letters and numbers. Naturally, my friend gets the email wrong, sends this very explicit photo to some elderly woman, and gets his Prodigy account, which he's paying for, closed down because of it.

Was it like that?

Under normal circumstances, my reps are so benign that it wouldn't have mattered. This particular one however, if sent to the wrong person, would either have been disastrous or hysterical, depending on the recipient.
