World Series '09

I'm a Cardinals fan. They had a good year, but didn't quite make the show this time.

Between the Yankees and the Phillies I have to give the nod to the Yanks. There is at least a slight connection with the Yankees and Nashville. Our little AAA team was once affiliated with the Yankees (Mattingly and a few other stars started here). Steinbrenner used to own Nashville Bridge (which actually makes barges); I'm not sure whether he still does or not. Come to think of it . . . maybe I should be for Philly! ;-)

It is against my religion to root for anyone who calls themselves the "Yankees."

I'm for the Braves, the Cards, and whoever is playing the Yankees.

I miss wishing I could go to the victory parade...

Angels fan here, so any team playing against the Yankees gets my support.

Oh, sorry, that was last year. I still hold a grudge against Philly, so I'll have to go with New york in this series.

And I heard Fox was going to be televising the world series so that means I'll miss some of my favorite TV shows. Boo hiss!

Well, I'm an affirmed Yankee hater, BUT... my son's little league team this year was the Yankees and he's taken a liking to them AND I just can't bring myself to root for a team named after girl horses, SO I'll be rooting for the Yankees, as much as it kills me.

don't put it all on your boys. i mean, cliff lee was insane last night. he had 4 pitches working perfect all night.

i'm pretty sure he's taking β-blockers too. he's a cool cucumber to say the least.

I just hope the Yanks are pissed off enough tonight to start hitting.

Especiall Texiera and Swisher - they need to wake the eff up...

No one said they were done - but when only Jeter does anything, it's frustrating. And considering Texiera and Swisher have pretty much done jack all post-season, that's also frustrating.

We don't like to lose. Not even one game.

i love seeing their team lose.

Either way, no one said anything about anyone being done. Don't know where that came from. Not liking to see them lose 1 game doesn't equal thinking the Series is over.

Lee was amazing.
