I'm not asking so much where you buy wine, but where, if you had a mind to buy wine to drink at home, you could find for sale.
Grocery stores, chain grocery stores, little neighborhood markets, state-run liquor/wine stores, wine stores, wineries . . . .
I'm intrigued by the way wine is sold in very different ways outside of the U.S. I've been told that at European wineries, and some in Chile, that consumers can bring or purchase a clear glass gallon bottle and have it filled with table wine to bring home.
I'm told that in Australia there are single-serving size paper "bottles" that are half-way between a box, and a bottle. I'm told that in Italy and South America you can buy wine in cans pretty much anywhere you'd buy beer.
So--
Where you are, where might someone buy wine?
