Freeze Frame Question

I searched for this in books, online, and even this site. I couldn't find examples of using Freeze Frame in this instance, despite seeming to remember seeing it in movies (movies which I can't remember at the moment, unfortunately). Is this an acceptable use of freeze frame?

INT. SOMEPLACE - DAY

Character
blah, blah, blah.​

FREEZE FRAME

Character 2​

Blah, Blah.

BACK TO SOMEPLACE
