What happened to the undying thread? I go away for awhile, I come back, and it's gone. <sniff sniff> Could it really have passed away?

LMAO! Relax! It's in the custody of Frankenberry or some such thing right now. Also, some of the board's longer threads are on sequel threads now due to the AW overhaul.

The older version is here (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38303), but it was closed a few weeks ago when AW became leaner and meaner. :)

I conrent that the lock on the bottom of this page means that it did die.

No! It was reincarnated - it's not dead. It rose from the grave to live again!

The father of said thread tried to kill it forever, but the people have spoken.

They mutate. Changeling threads roam the dark recesses of AW, shapechanging monsters waiting to devour unsuspecting n00bs.

As others said, it was resurrected (or Phoenixed or whatever you want to call it) in a newer "Return Of The Son Of <thread name>." The body is dead but the spirit lives. Kinda like a zombie.

Most threads that get locked around here don't get to rise again three minutes later.

Yeah. Kinda like that.
