Porky doesn't just give you bacon sammiches, y'know.

Well, I have to say, there are some things on that list that I find slightly disgusting, but at least now I know it's probably just my soap that's making my face look chubby. Always good to have a cop out. :)

Bacon sammie anyone?

Wow. That sure is impressive. My daddy came from a large family that raised some of their own food stuff. I remember as a young kid he use to tell me they used everything but the squeal. Back then they even used the blood to make blood pudding...yuk.

Thanks for the link.

I'd kill for a bacon and fried egg sammich. After a migraine I crave protein.

ETA: Actually after a migraine I crave every food imaginable.

That's more like it.

God, I'm hungry now. I haven't eaten since Thursday night.

Me too, and my daughter just saw that pic and is now running around the house chanting, "BA-CON, BA-CON, BA-CON!". It's off to the kitchen for me.

I think this thread needs to be kept alive. Every forum needs a pork appreciation thread.

Well, my Jewish mother-in-law probably wouldn't think it was so cool, but I'll just hide it when she visits. (Like I do with the ham.) ;)

I haven't eaten in two days because I have the flu, but now I know what I want.

In related news, Wayne K discovers that bacon is a cure for the flu. Nobel prize awarded.

Bacon sammies are a popular 3 a.m. lunch item where I work. One of my British co-worker is constantly complaining that they don't make them "the right way" because we American's put lettuce and tomato on ours and we don't know that bacon grease is meant to be a condiment. Gawd, I love that.

Is this why Muslims are traditionally seen as being very angry?

I used to get my bacon from a Croatian butcher on Broadway in Astoria Queens, and on St. Patrick's day we ate a slab of bacon instead of corned beef. I make great cabbage with onions and garlic with a little pickle juice that people beg me for, but my point is this.

I'm hungry.

A Japanese herbalist from the East Village told me that an appetite is a sign of health. That means I'm feeling better.

You may need to fact check this, but I'm pretty sure that a diet high in bacon fat leads to feelings of mutual fondness and tolerance. Or, maybe it just leads to heart attacks. Eh, doesn't matter. I'm still eating it.

Well, as a native of the heart disease/cancer/stroke capital of the world, I can say us Scots are an aggressive lot, so I'm not sure I believe this theory.
