Quarantined? Are you serious?

Holy crap. If there's some freaking exotic bug out there I have to catch it,don't I?

The last couple of weeks, I was down in my hometown helping out my dad and running his store while he was laid up. While I was there, the high schools in the area were starting to close due to a flu epidemic.

...

I feel like turds on toast. So much for hitting 100k this weekend. And on top of that, it is COLD here--in the forties. And now, courtesy of my MD, I am confined to my house for at least a week with "unspecified" respiratory symptoms.

I feel like Tebow without the concussion.

Maybe if I close one eye, I'll be able to type. Problem is--which eye?

I sorry doom bunneh. I suggest closing the eye that matches your handedness - ie: right handed, close right eye. This is based on long term scientific research that I just conducted in my cubicle. You can trust me.

Ha! I just came in to commiserate and find I've been besmirched!

mscelina, I got quarantined this past March for pertussis. They kept calling to see if I was home or not.

It's weird, but it makes a good story, so now you too shall have the, 'Did I ever tell you about the time I was put under lockdown by the CDC?" story. It's great at parties.

The phone was unplugged as soon as this Klingon-sized headache began. A lot of the kids sick in Tennessee are suspected H1N1 flu victims, due to the military base and the huge transitoriness of the area population. So, as a result, now I'm a potential statistic too.

And the headache is the worst of it. Trust me.

I am alternating eyes. At the moment, they both hurt. Oh well. I need to get up and clean the house; my in-laws (flu-shotted already, thank the gods) are coming home from a three week vacation today.

At least after they get here I'll have a reason for the headache.

Orange Juice. Recommend lots of orange juice. Not a doctor. Just someone who always runs to OJ when colds and flu strike. OJ has amazing ability to stop runny noses (mine at least), for awhile. Of course by the time it's done one is sick of OJ and chicken noodle!
