hi everybody!
let me introduce myself - i'm donna, from suffolk, virginia. i've always enjoyed writing, but this is my first attempt at a novel. i've written for children and had a story published by a text-book publisher in n.j. (hey, it's better than nothing!) and am currently waiting to hear on two others.
anyway, this story started in my head two years ago. even though i tried to ignore it, it kept evolving in my head to the point where i couldn't concentrate on my kids' stuff. so, i started writing it. i think the story itself is pretty good, but i have no idea if i'm doing it right - i'm trying to 'show, not tell', and 'write tight', and everything else the books i've bought tell me to do. but i think the best thing is to have people more experienced than i take a look and let me know if i should go back to bookkeeping!!
the story is mystery/suspense with a touch of romance.
i'd be happy to post the first couple of chapters is someone would like to take a look - i'm on my second draft up to chapter 3. working on chapter 4 now(right after i get some coffee!)
